Getting humbled, one way or another

Happy Little Trees March 11, 2011

Since working at Powderhorn, I’ve fallen in love with skiing the groves of aspen. They used to be something I avoided because….well, trees don’t move. But eventually I learned how to shoot the gaps. Days like today, the sun is shooting through the columns of aspen painting zebra stripe shadows on the snow. The white bark of the aspens always makes it feel extra bright on bluebird ski days.
