Why is destroying things so fun? I don’t know. But on Saturday we put on one of the most magnificent displays of creative destruction ever!

Powderhorn had its first ever Dummy Jump which, at its core, is just the winter version of a demolition derby. Our mountain guys built a 14 foot jump that had no landing whatsoever. Different departments built contraptions to send off the jump. These things went bigger and farther than I expected!

And he did quite well!



This is “Tricky Dick” Nixon, the winner of the 1st Dummy Jump. He went so high the only other thing you can see in this picture is the lift cables in the lower right.
