Sarah Palin came to Grand Junction last night and over 10,000 of us turned out to see her. I saw Barack Obama when he came to GJ a month ago. Comparing the two rallies…night and day. The overall feeling and mood at the Obama rally was anger. There was a lot of screaming…much of it by local politicians. The Palin rally was much larger and the overall mood was excitement. At the Obama rally, I can’t remember seeing an American flag. There were about 900 at the Palin rally (a little overkill if you ask me but at least they had them). And the Palin rally kept you entertained for the hours waiting for Sarah. They had lots of local live music to help pass the time. That was appreciated.
We had a decent spot on the field right behind Sarah. Here are the pictures I took:
Had to sit down for a bit waiting for the other Sarah.
Hank Williams Jr. came out and fired up the crowd. He was smart to wear an Elway jersey and sing the Monday Night Football song (Broncos were playing last night same time as the rally. They got their butts handed to them though).

I just stuck my camera up as high as I could and pushed the button
Hey its Tina Fey!
She took a lot of time to sign autographs and talk to people
And just to end on a random note. Here is the sky on my way to work this morning.
